Poet At Large Reviews, Book, Keeping Faith   Leave a comment

‘Keeping Faith’ by Jodi Picoult is a book full of controversy.  It is a work of fiction but it makes one think.  When a seven year old Jewish girl named Faith begins having religious visions and quoting bible verses without ever having seen a bible the world around her goes crazy. When miracles start to happen and little Faith develops the wounds of the Stigmata her estranged father sues for custody saying he is concerned that her mother’s care is causing her harm. This book was so hard to put down that I read it 10 hours straight without a break. It was fast paced with just the right amount of detail. The book does contain adult situations and language, so it’s not for the kids. I do however think that anyone who does believe in God and miracles will enjoy this book.
